Mutoh TexJet 1604

Direct to Fabric Digital Printer System

The Mutoh TexJet 1604 printer has been specifically developed as an entry level digital direct to fabric water-based inkjet printer system. Incorporating Mutoh's i² Intelligent Interweaving technology, the TexJet 1604 will offer impeccable print quality up to 1440 x 1440 dpi and print speeds of up to 14 m² per hour. The system includes an integrated heat development unit with the ability to heat fix at the same speed as the printer, complete with in built tension controls for the fabric roll. In addition, the unit also includes an inline air purifier.

The TexJet 1604 utilises CMYK water based ink and offers a media width of 1625 mm and a printing width of 1615 mm. While the standard colour set of the TexJet is four colour CMYK, the configuration can be customised by selecting alternative colours from a palette including extra magenta and absolute black.

The TexJet 1604 incorporates the new generation piezo drop-on-demand variable drop "wide-model" print head. The 1440 nozzle head incorporates four colour sections (two nozzle rows of 180 nozzles per colour).

By replacing PVC and plastic substrates with fabrics, printers can meet many of their customers campaign needs with this one step, environmentally friendly alternative including banners, flags, soft signage and much more with this advancement in technology.

The TexJet print performance is optimized by J-Teck J-Eco water-based inks. J-Teck’s patented Nanodot Technology higher pigment loading results in higher colour strength & vibrancy of prints and excellent image definition after fixation.
